The current board said they were planning to improve the restaurant’s financial situation. However, I see that for 2021 the restaurant lost $850,000.
Does the board have any comment on that? Are they planning to make radical changes of some sort?
I know the board has spent a lot of hours on this issue, and that things are better. I also know there are fixed costs that nothing can be done about. That said, it would be nice to have the details of why this is the case just so people could understand — if in fact the number of $850,000 for 2021 is correct.
The tv’s in Fitness Center and locker rooms are not operating properly. Sports channels are 99% unavailable. Has Spectrum been contacted to make sure we’re getting what we are paying for? Answers are always yes, but results say otherwise.
I would like to know what is happening with Skyy’s.
Reason for their being here was to provide a service for us. In their present
state I do not see that as functioning.
I brought this question to the last Board Meeting, but no. one seemed to know.
My other issue is regarding window washing. Are they holding up washing all windows because of the few penthouse windows that need something special that OSHA is requiring?

Enforcement of rules is as important as the rules themselves. For example, the pet-size and pet-number rule might not as well not exist. I suggest a hefty tax on each pet, per month, for all pets weighing more than the legal 25 lbs. And what about multiple pets? And what about the pet registration rule?
It is my understanding that state law trumps our 25 lb limit.
Interesting! Is there a link to that information you might share? It would be good to know there are less rule-breakers here!
Question 1: Sky’s is not an MCC amenity. It is a tenant of Essex, so they are not required to keep us informed of the store’s status.
Question 2: Yes, window washing has been back-burnered since MCC got OSHA citation 3 or 4 yes ago. Yes, it is a penthouse-only issue.
How is a “guest” of an apartment renter monitored to make sure they are paying a fitness center fee? A person who used to live here two years ago has been using the pool facilities almost every day and to my knowledge the person has not purchased a membership. Several people who live in the apartments have reported seeing this person and asking if she lives here or is a member. She says it is a “secret.”
Guests of the Club are supposed to be vigilantly monitored thru the Fitness Center. (See my comment above.)
Are guest fees ($20 per guest per day for use of all MCC amenities) being assessed appropriately and effectively through Fitness Center(i.e. tennis/paddle tennis/pickleball/racquetball/pingpong/pools/classes etc.)? This revenue goes into COA proceeds.
Our first topic will concern rules and regulations, which have been sent to all owners and are discussed in the email we have sent out.
Which rules are being enforced? How are they being enforced? What rules are outdated or need not be enforced. The Owners Group hopes to have some answers. Should owners have the right to see summary information on enforcement actions? Not names or confidential information, but the types of matters that are being enforced. You could reply to this comment with your thoughts on any of the rules and regulations.
Since money was avbl for improvements such as doggy lands, is the Fitness Center really getting better equipment? I’ve been hearing the promise since we moved here in 2015.
