My wife and I have not completely checked on all notes from each meeting.
I just noticed we have doubts about the representation of our lawyers.
Since the lawyers fee gets much of our budget, Is changing our legal representative at 80% of cost we are paying the current legal team an option?
Things we would like to see discussed.
Are you willing to run for the board? Are you willing to actively contact people you know that might be willing to run for the board?
Concerning the budget, what is the proper balance between:
a. Keeping dues as low as possible.
b. Making cosmetic changes to make the property look better, increasing property values.
c. Taking care of more serious issues due to aging infrastructure.
d. Increasing reserves which may help in getting loans so other issues can be addressed.
With all the responsibilities and complexities facing our MCC Board, wouldn’t it make sense to increase the number of Board members?
I realize this would involve a “by-laws” change. Hopefully, this would decrease the stress on the 5 members and expedite solutions to the many problems and obligations the Board
faces.
Also, with a larger structure to the Board, it might encourage more owners to be willing to serve as a Board member.
